Frequently Asked Questions by Prospective Students

Students who will enroll in our university through the central system are determined by ÖSYM in line with their preferences and placement is made accordingly. In our units that accept students through special talent exams, the placement of students is done by the relevant units.

It is carried out on e-government between the dates determined by ÖSYM. As for our students who cannot register via e-government, the registration dates and locations of those who are placed in the academic units of our University by ÖSYM are sent to the students by ÖSYM. You can find the information required for registration on the "https://www.igdir.edu.tr/" website.

If you do not register between the specified registration dates, you will be deemed to have given up your registration right.

Candidates who are eligible to register to the university and who do not/cannot register via e-government must apply for registration in person. However, candidates who cannot apply in person due to their excuses can be registered by the persons to whom they have given power of attorney through a notary, provided that they document their excuses. Registration is not possible by mail.

No documents are required other than the registration documents reported by ÖSYS.

Newly registered students can apply for course exemption (if any), freeze their registration (if the conditions are met) and apply for a foreign language exemption exam (if desired) between the dates specified in the academic calendar. They need to create automation passwords (for tracking course and exam information) on the Student Information System.

You can learn the course start dates from the academic calendar published on our University's website.

A faculty member/officer is appointed as an advisor to each student by the relevant deanery/department head to ensure that they follow the academic program. Academic advisor; It can be learned from the relevant academic unit department head or from the student information system page.

The academic advisor monitors and guides the students he/she advises, supervises the course enrollment process within the framework of the principles determined by the University Board of Directors, and makes the necessary guidance to ensure that the student's social and cultural situation and activities do not negatively affect their success.
